Renovations and New Beginnings
I've had this wilderfamilies.com website for over 15 years. Building it, updating and managing it have brought me great joy and amusement, but nothing compares to meeting new distant cousins through this website. Unfortunately 2 years ago, I had a hiccup in the site. The card I used to auto renew the site hosting expired, and I did not realize it until I went to make updates to the site and YIKES..."Where is the Site?!!!".... The answer... poof, shut down. I immediately followed up with the company providing my website hosting service (Yahoo) and got another unhappy surprise: The site was not archived anywhere. So, for the past two years I have been moping around sad faced and discouraged, until recently, when I remember that our forefathers and mothers met with greater disappointment and hardships, and each time they would dust themselves off and get started again. So with that same Wilder determination and move-forward sprit, I dusted off my disbelief and dug back into my efforts to celebrate the Wilder family. I know there are still areas I have to resurrect and renovate, but I'm feeling hopeful and filled with anticipation for bringing in new information and meeting new Wilder cousins.
I used to have a guest book, but this new site now has a comments space, so please do comment or let me know how you are related to the Wilder family.
